Shiva Mohammadi is a film composer from Tabriz, Iran, whose work draws on the richness of her Azeri and Persian heritage, blending it with contemporary scoring approaches to create distinctive and emotionally resonant sound worlds. She began studying piano at the age of seven, a starting point that grew into a lifelong commitment to music and storytelling.

Shiva earned her Bachelor’s degree in Classical Composition from Tehran University of Art, where she studied under respected composers including Dr. Majid Tahriri, Amir Alavi and Pejman Khalili. Alongside her formal studies, she trained extensively in piano performance and choral singing, performing with the Tehran Choir.

In 2024, she graduated with a Master’s in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games from Berklee College of Music in Valencia, where she studied with renowned Spanish composer Lucio Godoy. Her time at Berklee included recording sessions with the Budapest Art Orchestra, work with musicians from the Palau de les Arts, and a capstone project recorded at London’s Air Lyndhurst Studios.

Recently, Shiva has collaborated with internationally acclaimed composer Ben Frost, bringing her skills in arrangement, and music preparation to his projects. Her recent credits include serving as Composer’s Assistant and contributing additional arrangements for the feature film Palestine 36 (2025).

With a background that bridges classical training and contemporary experimentation, Shiva continues to explore the power of music to shape narrative and atmosphere across film, television, and interactive media.
